On Saturday 20th March the Blackpool Youth Concert Band will be travelling to Rochdale Town Hall to perform in the regional series of the National ‘Music for Youth’ Festival 2010.
This will be the first time that an ensemble from Blackpool Music Service has participated in this National project in which 100,000 young music makers from across the country take part in festivals and concerts throughout the year.



The Music for Youth year comprises four major events: the Regional Festival Series, the National Festival, the Schools Proms and the Primary Proms

The Blackpool Youth concert Band, which is made up of talented musicians from across Blackpool, is delighted to be invited to perform in the Regional Festival series and they are now busy preparing a programme for this very special event.

The Blackpool Youth Concert Band will be performing in and around the Blackpool area throughout 2010 and will be departing on its first ever Concert Tour – Germany 2010, on 25th July.
